I did not arrive at this work through a straight line.
My path has taken me through trauma, addiction, recovery, spiritual awakening, motherhood, corporate life, healing work, and more than three decades of walking beside people through some of the most important changes of their lives.
Today, I'm a Certified Counseling Hypnotherapist, metaphysician, author, speaker, and founder of Sunlit Pathways and The Light House.
But before any of those titles, I'm someone who knows what it feels like to be lost, and what it takes to begin finding your way back.

I grew up surrounded by instability, trauma, abuse, addiction, and family patterns I desperately wanted to escape.
By my teens, substance use had become a way of numbing what I did not yet know how to understand or heal.
I wanted my life to be different.
I simply did not know how to make it different.
In 1988, at twenty years old, I reached a point where I knew I could not continue living the same way.
I made a simple attempt at prayer: “God, if you are real, I need help.”
What followed was a series of synchronicities that changed the course of my life.
While hitchhiking, I was picked up by someone who had been in recovery for two years. That ride became the beginning of my own recovery.
Not an instant transformation. Not a perfect one. A beginning.
As I healed, recovery grew into a much larger exploration of spirituality, consciousness, connection, and what allows people to truly change.
I studied hypnotherapy, metaphysics, energy work, intuitive development, and different approaches to personal transformation.
But some of my greatest teachers were the people I met along the way. People further down the path. People just beginning. People willing to tell the truth about where they had been.
Over time, I realized that connection itself was one of the most powerful parts of healing.
Today, my work brings together professional training, intuitive wisdom, spiritual practice, practical tools, and lived experience.
I work with people navigating recovery, trauma, spiritual awakening, major life transitions, questions of purpose, and that difficult-to-name feeling that something inside them is asking for change.
Through one-on-one work, group experiences, The Light House, speaking, writing, and Sunlit Pathways, I have had the privilege of supporting people around the world.
I am still learning. Still growing. Still doing my own work. And I think that matters.
The Four Pillars of Connection grew from my own experience of moving from disconnection toward recovery, purpose, and wholeness.
They have become a framework for how I understand healing, how I live my own life, and how I approach much of the work I do with others.

There is extraordinary power in being around people who understand your journey. Community gives us somewhere to tell the truth, somewhere to belong, and somewhere to be reminded that we do not have to carry everything ourselves.

Our experiences can become more meaningful when they allow us to contribute to someone else's life. Service reconnects us with purpose and reminds us that what we have lived through can become part of what we have to give.

There are moments when we simply cannot see the path from where we are standing. A mentor, teacher, sponsor, or guide can offer perspective, wisdom, and the reassurance that another way forward exists.

For me, daily connection to the Divine has been one of the most transformative practices of my life. Prayer, meditation, intuition, surrender, and quiet reflection create a place to return to when life becomes noisy, uncertain, or overwhelming.

Hypnotherapy
Working with subconscious beliefs, patterns, and responses.

Spiritual connection
Creating space for meaning, purpose, faith, and connection to Source.

Intuitive guidance
Listening beyond the obvious and exploring what your inner wisdom may already know.

Energy & emotional awareness
Recognizing what may be held beneath the surface and creating space for release.

Community
Remembering that healing and growth do not always have to happen alone.

Practical tools
Taking insight beyond the session and into everyday life.

I believe guides still need guidance and healers still need their own healing.
My life outside this work matters just as much to me.
You may find me hiking in the Colorado mountains, reading everything from personal growth to fantasy and science fiction, exploring oracle cards, having a deep conversation over coffee, sitting quietly with myself, spending time with my husband, or traveling to see my family and grandchildren.
My journey did not end when I became a hypnotherapist, author, or teacher.
It keeps evolving. I hope yours does too.
If something in my story feels familiar, or something inside you is asking for support, connection, or change, there are several ways we can begin.
You are welcome to start wherever feels right.
